Interesting Stat about Coach Swinney

Oct 25, 2022, 12:47 PM

Clemson is 14-1 coming off of a bye week since Coach Swinney took over as head coach back in 2008. Their average margin of victory in those wins were 17.36 points. The only loss was a 9 point loss to the hurricanes back in 2010. Coach Swinney has won 11 games in a row coming off a bye week. Note that there were also 2 bye weeks in 2020*

Based of this trend, I expect Coach Swinney’s group to win by 10+ plus points against Notre Dame on the road next weekend. The team should respond well with the extra rest and preparation. Plus Notre Dame is having a down year.

Thanks for reading and I hope to hear you thoughts. Is this is an accurate assessment, or is there other things we should take in account? Also tell me your score prediction.

My score prediction is 31-20

I feel good about our team’s ability to do what it takes

To WIN each week.

This season I’ve pretty much given up on this team coming out and dominating teams from the opening kick.

We are who we are. We’re not blowing out anyone in the score board. That’s frustrating, but it’s okay.

We’re getting better each week, but so far every time we take a step forward in one phase, we seem to regress a bit in some other facet.

Maybe we’re now primed for the stretch run and everything will come together over the bye week period.

I’m not counting on that happening.

Just looking forward to watching the team continue to “refuse to lose” for as far as it takes us in 2022!
