Bright kid enrolls as Clemson, gets Tiger fever and becomes an incredible fan of all Tiger teams. Kid attends Clemson for 4.5 years and never misses a home game in any sport. He thumbs to away games in the fall, listens to basketball games from Hawaii at 3:30 AM on the radio during Christmas break and works a major financial deal to be at the ACC Basketball Tournament his junior year. The holiday trip to the bowl game with this friends is a major story that will occupy his bar stool tall tales for decades. THE KID BLEEDS ORANGE. He also hates IPTAY. He sees 40 year old guys bringing two kids to the games, parking in a numbered spot, sitting in primo seats and occaisionally sitting down during the game. Kid is sure the 'wealthy' IPTAY guy is a jerk who jumped on the bandwagon last week and dispises the fact the guy doesn't cheer enough. He cannot believe the darn stupid administration actually lets the old rich fool get the best bowl tickets. It's just not right.
Young man, recently graduated, gives IPTAY $250/year and buys season tickets. Young man hates his tickets are not as good as the ones he got as a senior, hates lot 9 and wishes he were still a student. Yep, he's still mad at IPTAY. While his parking on game day sucks, he can and does drop into the frat party on the quad on gameday and only feels little out of it for being there. Still mad at IPTAY, he buys his bowl tickets from the bowl, cusses the darn bowl ticket distribution scam and ups this IPTAY contribution to $500.
50 year old lifetime fan has a grip on life. He cannot imagine a fall Saturday without Tiger football. Gives Two Grand a year to IPTAY, Two Grand a year to the loyalty fund which is matched by his company's matching gifts program. His kids think he is a bit crazy for all those orange sweaters he wears. On gameday he usually takes a friend or two to the game with this family, cheers the Tigers win or lose and thinks about how great the games were 25 years years ago. The old guy is an IPTAY representative, his kid is a bright young high school student and plans to attend Clemson. Old dude notices that all his best lifetime friends are IPTAY members. His buds have been doing this his whole life. The guy who used to be the President of IPTAY and is now on the board of directors was his company commander in ROTC way back when. Old dude thinks IPTAY is collection of loyal Clemson men he is proud to have known all his life. When Lewis Holms dies, the old dude almost sheds a tear and he never really knew the guy.
