Neff sent an email today asking IPTAY members to donate to NIL initiatives TigerImpact and Dear Old Clemson so that Clemson can continue to compete in athletics. This is in addition to the increases in IPTAY dues next year. I am going to email Neff and ask him what budget cuts IPTAY is going to be making to help the cause. There sure were a lot of folks traveling on IPTAY’s dime to the ND game. I do not feel that IPTAY is running as slim of an organization as they can and needs to make cuts to help the cause.

You chose to pay IPTAY because I guess you want football parking and tickets. NIL is not all everyone thought it would this year so who knows about next year and beyond. Good players will wind up on good teams.

Your guess would be wrong! I support everything Clemson related anyway that I can. I can’t begin to tell you what a great impact Clemson had on my life of 81 years and counting. My ONLY regret is I can’t do more.

I go Iptay but buy my own tickets and pass. At my level the Iptay tickets would not be that great. A lot of folks sell great tickets for all sorts of reasons. Currently sitting in SEC F Row UU. They are perfect.

After graduation, we did not live close enough to go to games and for many of those early years were not in an economic position that allowed for those types of donations so we dropped our IPTAY membership. When we moved back to the area after 35 years the level of donation that would have been required to get decent seats was cost prohibitive. So we found someone selling good seats for face value plus seat equity so that is what we do. We are pretty much splitting the IPTAY donation with another couple and it works well for all of us. We have been in those seats now for 6 years and love it.

I think seat equity amounts are increasing which effectively increases IPTAY amounts.

No one expects every iptay member to be in a position to contribute more $ for NIL. But those that are in a position, chances are, can be found among the iptay members. Hence the email.

The value per seat is changing for the 2023 season.
In 1934 the request for money to finance the football program was asked for from coach Neeley. He asked for the unbelievable amount of $10,000.00 . IPTAY was formed for that purpose That was a tremendous amount of money during those depressed times in America. If not for the tremendous influence of agriculture and textiles in the state at that time iptay would have failed! But, the textile workers and farmers were able to raise the money coach Neeley needed to help his program be competitive. I don’t guess anyone knows what percent of this money came from Alums but I would guess practically none! Textiles and farming depended on Clemson for their success during those terrible times. .... and they came through. Go Tigers.
