Is DJ the most mentally fragile QB we have ever had???

Nov 19, 2022, 10:04 PM

The coaches never fail to go out of their to not hold him accountable in any of their public comments. We know things get in his head easy and make him even worse. Has there ever been a QB for Clemson that has required more coddling?

You apparently didnt see Streeter play.
He may not have been the best QB we have had, but he was the toughest. He played fearless and through numerous injuries that would keep others sitting.

You obviously never watched him (Streeter) play then to say that about him. Dude was tough as nails and gave his all!

Go Tigers!!!

Kyle Parker, maybe, but that might have been a back injury.

Kelly Bryant in 2017. Cole Stout? Willie Simmons?

Tajh seemed to have major brain farts on the field

Nov 19, 2022, 10:15 PM

but then he'd always redeem himself somehow.

Re: Tajh seemed to have major brain farts on the field

Nov 19, 2022, 10:45 PM

This is 100% correct, I think people forget about the fact that Tajh looked like a Heisman Trophy candidate for 3 quarters and then would play a quarter where he looked like he had never played football before. DJs got a little bit of that

Re: Tajh seemed to have major brain farts on the field

I’d pay money to have Tajh under center right now

Couldn’t beat Usuc
But not many could under Spurrier?

yep boyd was great..b

but it seemed like when the other team would get to him and sack him a few times it would rattle him...his last game vs the coots comes to mind

You obviously didn’t listen to the coaches taking about the mistakes he made during the game.

I blame Streeter for not developing DJ at the position. DJ has the talent, but definitely the coaching is messing with his abilities.

yeah, that's held the starting spot for any length of time****

So afraid to make mistake!!!?

Nov 19, 2022, 10:51 PM

After he makes 1 mistake, he goes of the rails. Problem is he never finds the rails again!!

I wonder if his parents were off the rails perfectionist that has cost him mental issues for fast recovery? Wonder if his parents tailed him for producing production? Hope not but DJ has mental blocks!

I'm comfortable saying that not only is he the most fragile QB we've ever had at Clemson, he's the most fragile QB I've seen on any team ever.

Will Proctor may have been mentally fragile, but he was married to Ainsley Earhardt on Fox and Friends for a while. She’s smokin’ hot so that gives him a pass for me.

Re: Is DJ the most mentally fragile QB we have ever had???

Nov 20, 2022, 9:25 AM

I wish him well, but that kid has to get gone after this season. We’ve wasted 2 years with “thoughts and prayers” for his beloved potential. Its not just arm talent, its not just ability to run, its not just understanding the playbook, its not just reading and adjusting to defenses, its a little of all of it with a huge portion of “ability to lead” and he takes so much coddling, so much mental effort, so much time for all all the coaches that he drags the whole team into a hole that we have to fight out of every single week. Either quit like he has been trying to do for months or go somewhere that doesn’t have competition, but don’t hang around here and keep “getting better every week”

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Never seen a fragile player stroked so much by the HC ...
