Is LSU a complete team?

Tigerdug mentioned this AM that we will win because of experience on the big stage. I agree with him.
But I also believe that LSU May be not be elite in all facets of the game. Burrow, receivers, and oline are great, but It is rare that one side of the ball, especially the offensive side, wins a championship (Cam’s 2010 auburn team being a relatively recent exception). Even Tebow’s attack and spurrier’s pass-happy prolific offenses were complimented with nasty defenses and a stellar running back when they won championships.
From what I have seen, the defense is above average, but that’s about it. The running game is similar.
Hopefully the differences in overall teams AND our experience pulls us through!

An old truth...

Defense wins championships - and ours is better than theirs.
Another slant on the same idea is that a good offense against a bad-to-average defense will win.
When you look at the match-ups of our offense against their defense as opposed to their offense against our defense, we win 11 out of 10 times.

They are 14-0 so they must be doing something right. Maybe their defense is not as good, but if memory serves me the year Peyton won his first SuperBowl with the Colts, their defense wasn't as good either. But as long as your scoring 1 more point per game then you are giving up, you win 100% of the time.

0h40 is the most complete team in the cfp this year as far as talent level that will play on Sundays. That being said, Dabo just knows how to win. Thus, makes us the Best overall team in the cfp.
At some point in Dabo's life, you'll hear him say that beating 0h40 this year is his proudest win all time imo.

Their defense is not as good as ours, but it is not bad and it seems to be improving lately.
Take another look at their RB. He has 1300 yards rushing and 400 yards receiving. He doesn't get the headlines but he will be a matchup challenge for us.
The Tigers will win but it won't be easy.

They are the greatest “best team ever” since Alabama of last year.***

Just ask the last two #4 teams that we outscored 100 to 38. The defense must be doing something right. #GEAUXTIGERS

Which part about Edwards-Helaire isn’t stellar? Prior to only playing a few snaps in the Peach Bowl he was the leading rusher in the SEC. He is outstanding in pass protection, and has 400yd rec to boot. There really isn’t much, if any, difference between him and Etienne. Our #1 offense in the country is every bit of complete.
Defensively we are finally healthy for the first time since week 1. Using our entire season averages to try to label us is only setting yourself up for disappointment.
We have four 1st rounders on D. We have a safety, corner, and edge rusher all mocked in the 1st round this year. Our other corner is the best player on D, but he’s only a freshman. The only current 1st rounder you have is Simmons. One of our LBs led the conference in tackles.
https://www.teamrankings.com/college-football/stat/opponent-yards-per-game
Take the “last 3” games we are the #1 total D in the country, while playing higher average rated offenses than OSU, Virginia, and SC. Go through last 3 games on the site and you’ll see this team is statistically playing above Clemson right now, on both offense and defense.
I’d call that being a complete team.

Alabama had 4 1st rounders on a team we beat by 4 tds . That's no argument . None of your team or staff have the experience that Clemson has in this game ... we've been in the playoffs 4 straight years . Won it all 2 times . Including last year .
I am sure your season has you very confident and it should because most of it was impressive ... but the Clemson team your about to get isn't gonna be looking at the shiny lights and wondering if they're good enough . The rings are on our fingers . Come try and take em .

Helaire is not stellar and everyone knows it. He’s respectable but he’s also the beneficiary of an A+ pass offense that opens up the run. He has more rushes than ETN and 230 fewer yards. He also has 20 more receptions than ETN with the same amount of yardage. Of all the things about LSU’s offense that are concerning, Helaire is not one of them. We’ve seen at least three backs this year that are better.
