recruiting? And most knew this even as the season began--and so is it a surprise how the season has played out?
Lots of youth recruited in 1st good cycle after OP and not much else left on the team from OP. Can't another year or 2 of recruiting by BB fix this?

Stop, AThomas with that sort of logic.

Any sensible Clemson fan knows this program is doomed and we need to go ahead and shut it down now and start using Littlejohn for rodeos.

The main issue is certainly recruiting. And, as much as I think Brownell is a good "coach", I have seen no evidence at all that he can recruit players that will improve our overall position as a mid ACC team (which isn't that good). We desperately need a true star that can take over a game himself when things aren't going well and just don't see him getting one

I kind of agree, but...

I was hoping that Milton and Book would finally have that breakthrough year we've been hoping for.
Both were so highly touted, and both are good, but just not dominating. I thought Booker was supposed to be better than Trevor? Trevor is one of my all time favorite Tigers. Just a manimal on the court. Baby Booker just never seemed to have the light bulb turn on for him. Sure he has flashes, but he's not the dominate big guy I thought he was going to be.
Milt, I don't know. I think he gets a bum rap, but I also feel like he's not lived up to the potential either. Maybe he has, and this is his best effort? Maybe both of them just don't have the supporting cast? Maybe both are underachievers?
Hopefully the team will turn the corner next year and get more competitive. With Cuse and Pitt coming in though + Duke and NC, I don't know if the Tigers will be in the top 4 or 5 of the ACC anytime soon.

Booker has had a very good year. He and Milt are our best

two players. You can question their performance versus expectations for the career, but they are our two best players and they will be gone next year.

Can he recruit the type of players that he needs to

for Clemson to be a contender when he has 4 years of his own recruits? Are the players he has recruited good enough? Is his recruiting improving each year? Is his recruiting to this point a function of his personality/charisma/salesmanship or is it a Clemson/facilities/fan support issue? Is his style of play entertaining enough to get fans enthused and in the seats?
Those are legitimate questions that our AD will have to constantly ask and decide whether or not we need to move on or give him more time.

I hope he gets at least 2 more years.

Lets see how things go when he has his guys as seniors and juniors, and the depth he bring in behind them.
As for the style of bball and is it entertaining, I say just win. If they win more often than lose, interest / ticket sales will take care of itself.

How can you make that statement without seeing our team

next year? "At least 2 more years" no matter what happens next year? Won't we have a lot more information relating to those questions after next season? and the next season?
Our AD likely has a tremendous sense of urgency to answer those questions.

I think you have nailed it. If a basketball program is worse

off or even at the same level after 4 full years, then some hard questions must be asked. Even if we make the NCAA next year, we are still just getting back to where we were 4 years ago. That's not good any way you slice it. That's bad - that's a given. The question then becomes, is there good reason to think things are about to get significantly better; if so you stay the course, if not you gotta look real hard at making a change. But before you even do that, you gotta ask why this coach failed, and could another coach be expected to come in and do better, or would pretty much any coach be limited by the very same factors?

Depends on if we start recruiting better...

We traditionally haven't recruited that well. We may be better in a couple of years as these young guys get better, but that doesn't mean it will translate into more wins.
