I love Clemson in ANYTHING - this basketball is pretty much unwatchable.

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.


It changed about 7 years ago.

How is this basketball team unwatchable. Every loss we've had has come down to the last minute aside from GT. It's frustrating that we can't close games out, but the games have been entertaining

with those other guys you mentioned. But I would agree with you, the best overall basketball team we ever had was Campbell, Davis, Forrest, Cash and Howling. Those guys were a fluke last-second shot by UConn from the Elite 8. They were good enough to win it all. We've never been that good since, though it looked like Barnes could have gotten there if he had stayed. Purnell have NEVER gotten there. You have to have a half-court game against good teams; Purnell's didn't have a half-court game. If the other team could beat the press we were done.

Having watched Tiger BB since Tates Locke era I have seen it all! Clemson lacks a physical presence this year and the team chemistry is not there in some situations. I just feel the team has no staying power in tight contests and Brownell doesn't have an answer. It is ashame after creating the new LJC that his tenure is likely coming to a close. He looks like the CTB of basketball - just never quite got us there so to speak.

Rad it is time for a new approach and a hungry coach who motivates and teaches their team.
