We have 5-star quarterbacks and we have to bring them along, nurse them into being ready, etc. But either Tennessee offense is such a good system that they can put any backup qb in and go 19 of 28 for 251 yards ad three touchdowns. What doesn't help is that it seems our defense can make a great qb out of anyone.

I have no doubt that Cade can and will be as good as Watson and Lawrence, hopefully here, but surely in the pros. But our receivers now do not compare to Mike Williams, Tee Higgins, Hunter Renfrow, and Justyn Ross. They just don't compare. Shipley and Mafah are good and have a lot of heart, but they are not Etienne. This defensive line was supposed to be the best since 2018. Nearly everyone coming back form last year, and they greatly underachieved. Not sure if that's on Eason, or Goodwin.

I don't really know what it is, but we don't play with confidence. Our offense usually plays on their heels, although that is changing with Klubnik, and body language looks as if they are waiting for something bad to happen. Most of the other teams I watch look eager to attack. I don't know, it's back and forth. I mean we did hold Tennessee to 3 of 13 on third down, but they have a backup qb that goes 19 of 28 for 251 and 3 touchdowns and no ints. I mean we couldn't even rattle him enough to force an int.

Their QB was a 4 star out of HS an d a starter for some games at Michigan. He was never a dud.
