I don't have the stats in front of me, but I think it safe to say that what cost Clemson this game,, other than some incredible three point shooting by Bama, was the same thing that historically cost other Clemson teams in the the Dance. Poor free throw shooting. The thing that had been our saving grace most of the year in tight games deserted us last night.

And so, for this year, the Dream is Over. That should not take away from what was an unexpected, and incredibly entertaining four game run in this NCAA Tournament. They will remember we were here. Congratulations to Coach Brad Brownell and the team for creating some lifetime good memories.

Pretty sure these guys didn't read about Clemson free throw shooting 20 years ago and felt the weight of history. They just had a bad night. Felt like every miss was bricked up there all night. Nerves or legs or something. Chef played great.

Yeah, we had an off night from the charity stripe but Bama had an outstanding night from 3. 16 threes made - more than the last 3 teams combined!

That said, it doesn't matter now and it was fun while it lasted. Tip our cap and hopefully we use this momentum to propel us back to the tourney on a regular basis from here on.
