MSNBC’s interview of the book’s author suffice as a Cliff Notes summary.
The book is an invective filled attack piece on ‘middle Americans’ and ‘rural’ people who have abandoned the Democrat party that had previously abandoned them.
Remember when the Democrat party was all about supporting the ‘little guy’? That version of the Democrat party died during the Clinton regime. It took a while for the ‘little guys’ to really accept that their traditionally preferred political party had abandoned them, although the Democrat party continued to spew meaningless lip -service to the ‘little guys’ in hopes of fooling them for yet another election cycle. When Trump came along and promised to consider the needs of the little guy, these voters fled the Democrat party.
For their ingratitude, the Democrat party and their propagandists in the main stream media have retaliated with invective filled verbal attacks and retaliatory policies. Pure scorched earth.
Yet, whenever the ‘little guy’ dares to push back, they are characterized as ‘White Rural Ragers.’
Up next on the Democrat party hit list: Black Americans. The exodus of blacks from the Democrat party won’t be as extensive, but they are nevertheless defecting from the Democrat party at a rate that was unimaginable as recently as two years ago. It will be interesting to see how the Democrat party propaganda machine will figure out a way to attack blacks and yet still avoid being labeled as the racists which we all know that they really are.
