Its not absolutely impossible

For a quarterback to be small in stature and still be a solid player. As a youngster, 70 years ago, my favorite QB was Eddie Lebanon with the redskins. He was considerably smaller than every other NFL QB but a very good and successful player. Certainly the game has changed but our own Pearman could develop into a quality college player… and I think that he will. Interesting summer coming up. I bet that we see several Tiger players improve!

Doug Flutie wasn't to bad either!

Kyler Murray plays bigger than he is also!

Fran Tarkenton was a smaller, but hugely, aggravatingly successful as an NFL

QB as well. It constantly amazed me how he kept dodging defenders, back and forth, until he had seemingly the whole defense trailing him as he finally found an open receiver downfield. That had to drive defensive coaches absolutely insane!

I think Lebaron was 5’9” and 160 lbs. not big for a pro player and a darn good one. I can see me playing in the NFL at that size… which I am!

Go Tigers. Get Better!

Lebaron would be toast nowadays at that weight in NFL (and college as well). The average NFL Offensive lineman weight in the 1960's is now the average NFL weight of a Linebacker - 250 lbs. Things sure have changed (Football, but also basketball) - That's why I think I enjoyed watching the Womens Basketball this year - the way basketball was meant to be played when invented.

it isn't happening...time to move on.

We can file Pearmens performance in the annals of meaningless spring game performances
