Pitiful-really bad loss

Chickens picked last in the SEC. Defense and rebounding are just bad, and we had PJ back. I won't write off the season with a bad loss, but where I thought we were weak, we were really weak tonight. Outrebounded by 20 against a mediocre frontline

Losing to USC at anything sucks but a first year BB coach is ridiculous.

yet they rained threes all night as we have no one who can shut down the perimeter (same as Citadel) and to get outrebounded by 20 is a disgrace

Agree. Getting ridiculous. It also doesn't help when we ick our open 3's. Should have won this game. Onto the next one.

I've seen nothing to show me I was wrong. It's early, but we are not a very athletic team right now, and Brad clearly doesn't trust the freshmen, as usual.

Why would BB play his freshmen and give them experience for the next coach? His job is at stake and he knows it. Unless Neff is a complete idiot. Possible.

the freshmen, they are not ready. The only way they'll get ready is to play. They are all athletic at least. If we can't guard people and rebound, it's going to be an extremely long year

The key to rebounding is positioning and hustle. Being outrebounded by 20 is a really bad sign.

If the head coach is not able to teach, motivate and manage-- then why can't these young men have the pride to get together and fall back on what they HOPEFULLY learned in high school? The stupid hybrid type of man/zone that BB tries to use is simple in theory...unfortunately, when a shot goes up, our Tigers take off like it's a fast break drill. Forget the fact, that many of those shots going up turn into 2nd chance points because NOBODY is left to rebound. Offensively, they play 'keep away & jack it up'. WHY NOT screen/roll, backcut or drive to the hoop instead of taking 22' shots with no one rebounding?
This team would be no better/worse if THE TIGER was standing on the sidelines waving a towel...
