early 80's since that unholy extra-penalty levied against us by the ACC.

I was very active in the Columbia IPTAY Club, one of the largest, when that happened. Our beliefs at the time were reenforced multiple times over by reliable sources: the nefarious idea was launched by the AD's at UNC and Duke via the faculty reps. Wake and Maryland strongly objected, but were faced with threats. The reps then enacted that penalty. No one...and I mean, no one, will ever convince me (nor a hellll of a lot of others) that a bunch of faculty reps made that kind of move on their own. Period. It was engineered from above, then imposed.

Thus, the sooner we exit this screwed-up mangle, the better, as far as I'm concerned, and I don't give a hoot in hellll if it means we go Independent until we have all our ducks in a row. However, I, also, don't believe we would have launched the suit without doing our homework, which I believe involves the SEC.
