I've never left a game were I was so unhappy as I was...

Sep 28, 2014, 1:50 PM

last night.

I'm somewhat at a loss to explain it. It's weird but you could feel it in the whole stadium.

The O scores 48 pts but the feeling was we never put UNC away. May be the expectations were too high and wanting total domination. I guess I'm more of a fan of the D and expect them to play every game like they did against FSU.

It's the inexplicable mental errors. Everyone feels it.***

Same here, I was waiting for our D to turn out the lights..

Sep 28, 2014, 1:53 PM

But we just kept letting them score (rather easily).

I get some of that feeling

Sep 28, 2014, 1:56 PM

But do you really mean it when you say you had "never left a game were I was so unhappy as I was last night?"

If that's how you felt, so be it, but it seems that a game we won by 15 and were never in danger of losing the lead is an odd one to hold that distinction.

I can think of many games I left unhappy, dang near every one of them losses. I can't imagine this game being anywhere near that list.

My thoughts exactly. I always want the Tigers to play

Sep 28, 2014, 3:43 PM

perfect and then I think of mistakes I make every day.

A win no matter how many areas need improvement is better than a loss. Go Tigers.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

LOL, UNC was never in the game

Sep 28, 2014, 2:00 PM

Clemson had the game from the beginning, UNC NEVER threatened to take the lead and someone is worried ? Heck, this was supposed to be the letdown game ? I'll take letdowns like that every single week.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

does that list include last week ?***

"I've been working since I was 15 continually until now. I worked 40 hours a week at 15, when it wasn't even legal for 15 year olds to work that many hours."

We must learn to finish
The ga tech game that we had a 4th qtr meltdown in dv a few yrs ago still bothers me

True... But were you ever in doubt? I thought the same and wished for our D to make some stops but never really felt the game was in doubt bc I knew DW would deliver on offense. Yes, I'd definitely like to have that "kill mantra" and put the game away but as long as we are moving the ball offensively as well as we were last night, it's easier to swallow. I don't think I would have felt so confident though, if CS was playing rather than DW.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I left quite happy last night.

Sep 28, 2014, 2:39 PM

It was a fun game to watch.

I have to say that the FSU game last year was probably the worst feeling I've had leaving a game in recent memory.

One bright side way of looking at it

Sep 28, 2014, 2:47 PM

Is we put in young defensive guys and they got meaningful playing time, which they can learn from and be graded on, shown what they need to do in the future.

I meant to say...never left a game that we won that I was

Sep 28, 2014, 3:32 PM

that unhappy.

I'll take a one point win as long as we win but Saturday was just strange.

Thanks for clarifying. I was about to ask if you were at the FSU game in DV last year.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Sorry

Sep 28, 2014, 3:35 PM

I was happy about the win.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If last night didn't make us happy, we're spoiled.

Sep 28, 2014, 3:39 PM

Everyone who watched that game walked away knowing who was better and more physical, and it was never in jeopardy on the scoreboard.

I had a similar feeling, then I walked outside and saw USuC lose and I got drunk !

You do realize the 2 long td plays should have been called back because of penalties. The 1st one the pass was clearly pray the line of scrimmage with in ineligible recievers downfield and on the second 1 Alexander was the only one with a shot at him except he was held most of the play. Go back and watch them again. Ridiculous. Hard to blame the D when the refs are blind.

Sep 28, 2014, 6:33 PM

We were favored by 17 and won by 15 so makes sense you would be sad

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Well , I've never been a fan of the D

Sep 28, 2014, 6:50 PM

But I am a fan of the defense.

;)
