I have mostly stayed out of the "fire Jack" debate. I am still undecided whether he needs to go. But this argument saying that it's not him making errors, getting a bunt down, or leaving the bases loaded with no outs without scoring a run, and giving him a pass because he's not personally on the field, is a bunch of bull.
He is responsible for the team's results. He does the recruiting and coaches the players.
Someone was on here during the winning streak calling him the COY. So we give him credit for winning,but the players the blame for losing?
This absolving of blame has permeated our society, and it's time for "buck to stop here."
Now, go play some ball!

WOW!!!!!!!!! great post through-out!! every bit true...our weakness now is because Jack did not recruit power hitters last 5 years..now I know all the excuses but the fact remains that Jack is VERY POOR RECRUITER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jack does several things well as a coach. He is a great teacher, he has the best camp in the nation & I think he is a good recruiter. Where he get burned is game day coaching ljke waiting too long to pull a pitcher " NC with a 5 run lead" He does it over & over, He does seem to be smarter about base stealing.Look at all the assistants that have come through & are doing better than us. I don;t want him fired. He has too many good qualities.I wish he would learn from his mistakes. GO TIGERS

Jack knows when you win it's the players that won and when you lose it's the coach. Every great coach accepts that as his role. He understands the expectations as a baseball coach at Clemson. I can promise you he is working as hard as he can to get it going in right direction. Whether that is good enough in end remains to be seen but his record has earned him the right to rebuild after a few bad seasons
