The NFL is where he really wants to be. He's already said that he would probably leave for the NFL if he got a good offer.

First, he can make a lot more money in the NFL.

Second, there is nothing left for him to prove in college football. He’s won his conference and a national championship.

Third, he can go out on top at his alma mater.

Fourth, the NFL isn’t nearly as messed up as college football is right now.
