Scroll towards the bottom to get an update on Jontae Gilbert's recruitment. At one time it appeared we had him locked down and maybe even a silent commit, does't look that way anymore.

What is most telling is reading through some of the other updates. Kids with a middle of the road ranking being told they are #1 on the respective schools recruiting board. My gosh, do these kids really believe what some of these schools are telling them? I really hope they have someone that truly cares about them that can help them navigate the recruiting process.

Dude that’s just Recruiting 101. I’m not worried about Gilbert.

Now …and this not necessarily a slight to USuCk but if they are telling a kid he is no. 1 while in the portal recruiting over the last kid they said was no. 1 then I would be leery.

Just saying.

Call me naive, call me a homer, probably a little of both but I struggle to think anyone our staff would be telling Easton Ware or someone similar he is absolutely #1 on our entire recruiting board. Sure maybe he is our top ranked OT, I could see that. Maybe I didn't read some of these quotes right.

"Middle of the road rankings..." might be #1 on some school's recruiting boards. They are buying their starters through the portal.

Here is the story. I have no way of verifying it.

Nick Saban kept a recruiting board in his office. It was a white board with names on it. It was kept behind a locked covering on the wall. Well, the story is that when Kirby got the job at UGA before telling Saban he managed to take a photo of the board.

When he got to UGA he was recruiting some of the same players as Bama. He would show them the board and say, "They're telling you that you're their #1 recruit. Let me show you the real story."
