It’s weird how so many of you get mad about basketball, come at me, and then act like football criticism isn’t allowed.
I can say this, Brad has never squandered talent like Dabo has the last few years. Keep that in mind when you want to complain about the season we are having.

Dabo built the program that won 2 national championships from pretty much the ground up over 15 years. Sure, some highly rated recruits have not panned out but we know for a fact Dabo has the capability to put Clemson back into a national title picture bc he's proved that he can
Brad Brownell has built NOTHING over 13 seasons at Clemson. He doesn't get close to the same leeway that Dabo does and for you to not admit that Dabo compared to Brownell is apples to oranges is why people don't want to take your opinions seriously

Brad doesn’t get unlimited funds to build his ideal program. He doesn’t have passionate fans to support him. He doesn’t have a strong basketball history to recruit from.

Take Mike Noonan for example he’s already won two natties. There’s no we spend more on soccer than we do on basketball.

before Noonan was our coach.
We had a reputation as a soccer school.
We have none of that in basketball.

Administration certainly part of the problem, giving him extensions and RAISES when no school in the country was looking to steal him from us. He learned long ago his mediocrity would somehow be rewarded
Overpaid, underperforming. Now wasting best team he has put together, especially wasting Girard, who should be closing out all of these close games

It’s about how our support for a team compares to other teams nationally.
We spend relatively little on men’s basketball compared to the rest of the ACC and nationally relevant programs.

Given all of that (the negatives working against the program) why do you ever expect them to have a good season? I think I’ve seen you posting about how the team will be much improved, etc, in the past. It’s almost always the same flameout. So, seriously, given all the negatives you listed, shouldn’t you be expecting them to have mediocre to poor seasons?

The football team is the second most accomplished program on the CFP era. Even in the last three years of “decline” we we haven’t dropped out the top 20 in final rankings. Our “decline” this season was obviously due to a green QB and unfortunate turnovers at the wrong time. We were on a 5 game winning streak and we were one of only 5 teams to finish November undefeated. In the last three years combined we are still one of the top 10 winningest programs in the country.
So what are you talking about? What has Brad ever accomplished for you to make your ridiculous comparisons?

That is easily verifiable by anyone who deals in reality.
So yes, the football program has declined. I’m hopeful that we will see improvement in 2024. I’m optimistic that we will, based on the new assistants Dabo has hired.
Basketball season isn’t over. I believe we are an NCAA Tournament team this year. If we aren’t, I believe Brad will be fired. I would absolutely support that decision.
It’s weird that you are so concerned about what I post.
