In 4 years, when Brownell is back on the hot seat, JK will claim there was a less than sellout crowd. When people post news articles and video of the game proving him wrong, he’ll block those users, claim he was there, and that anyone who says otherwise is lying. Lest anyone be confused by this post - this is precisely what he has already done about another game.

You say hot seat in 4 years. If PJ comes back he may be able to have 1 more year without another collapse. It’s recruiting he is not good at. So far this year MBB ranked #79 in recruiting with game chickens ahead of us. How can he continue to have good seasons with that kind of recruiting? It’s recruiting not X’s and O’s that Brad falls short with. Been said for last 10 years.

It depends on whether Brad parlays this year into some idiotic extension with an insane buyout. This is Clemson after all. If that happens we will tank immediately and there will be much gnashing of teeth.

As long as we make the tournament - it will take an epic collapse from here not to - Brad will be extended. It will be interesting to see how Neff plays it. But his predecessor continually bumped him back up to 7 years. If Neff follows that template, I doubt he eats the increased buyout before three more seasons.

not 7 years. 5 year max on contract, and do not put a big buyout in it. He has no leverage. No one is knocking down his door. I hope somehow he goes on a roll and we become a real force, but don't paint yourself in a corner you don't have too.
Only way he gets real leverage is an Elite 8 or Final 4 run. Then, he's earned that

I would have no issues with that. It isn’t the established pattern. Hope Neff proves to be better with contracts than DRad. DRad gave multi-year extensions and raises after NIT appearances.
