I agree with his evidence and examples, but not necessarily with his conclusion that "there is no God of the Bible."

There are certainly different aspects of God presented, ranging from declaring the death of all the firstborn in Egypt:

Exodus 11:5–6, God declared through Moses, “Every firstborn son in Egypt will die..."

to declaring that children are blessed in Deut 7:13 "He will also bless the fruit of your womb"

But that simply indicates a range of emotions and actions. And underneath those actions, there could be a hidden consistency, or maybe not.

For instance, I might swerve my car to spare a chicken crossing the road from death, while on my way to eating a chicken dinner at a restaurant. That seems like a crazy contradiction, but maybe it's not based on other factors. And if it is a contradiction, well, it's just a human-type thing.

So I think that the descriptions in the Bible of God can be taken as one God, who is very much like man, who was "created in his own image", right down to apparent, though not necessarily actual, contradictions.

To argue with one who can not hear my words would make me a fool. It would be like talking to a wall or screaming at the deaf as if the volume or quality of my voice or even the accuracy of my words would restore their hearing.

What I know is that I lost something precious to me, more precious than silver, gold or my life itself. I lost my youngest son, my best friend, my fishing buddy, my Clemson brother but what I did not lose is the joy of The Lord in my heart. In my grief I still rejoice that I will soon see both God and my son Phillip.

If your doctrine, trust in your intellect, reasoning and ability to discern such as what is true and what is lie is comparable to what I believe and my trust in my God please, have at life.

If and when you face something real, more valuable and critical to the joy your belief give and realize the only refuge or harbor from real grief in life is my God, He is waiting for you to put your trust in Him and you may tell Him that He comes most gloriously recommended by me.

I use 'you,' in it's purely plural form and not directed an any individual but at all who read this testimony.
