Both Alabama and Georgia were in the playoff. I can only imagine the restraint the committee had in not automatically selecting both sec teams, not to mention the money they must have turned down

of getting in a 4 team CFP - not winning your conference should be a disqualifier.

Good on this CFP Committee for holding that against UGA as opposed to years past.

Thankfully starting in 2024 all Power 4 Champs (no more Pac 12) get an automatic bid regardless of record. So the debacle of at least one Power 5 Conference Champ not having a shot at the playoffs that was built into a 4 team playoff is moot after this year. The ACC, SEC, Big12, and Big10 Champs all get an automatic bid starting next year...

I'm glad that did not happen. If it had, I'm not so sure I would have tuned in to the play-off. This play-off should be interesting.

BEST not DESERVING was for just that(UGA losing and still getting in). They didn't expect Washington/Texas/FSU ALL to win
