wow that offense was good. Shows what a generational QB and RB can do even with an average oline. Crazy how far the offense has fallen.

2nd in PPG allowed, 9th in yards per game, 4th in FPI def eff, 4th in FEI def eff, and also very highly rated in defensive SP+ although i don't have access to that data anymore to see exactly where.

That defense was elite whether you want to measure it in old school stats or newer advanced metrics.

Also, Iowa exists. They have a top 5 defense and bottom 5 offense

Great post and you hit the mark of what is wrong now, Unrealistic expectations have been our problem since Trevor and ETN left and we have to accept that.
