Kelly = Tebow?

You can't help but draw comparisons. I thought Kelly was a lanky kid, but looking at the pictures on Orange and White tells otherwise. He looks like a full grow man.
Combine that with his speed, I think we'll have something in the arsenal to get him in the game this year.
Regardless of what you think about him up to this point, it's hard to argue that he won't be able to help us if he can avoid being a locker room cancer.

Tebow can Not throw like Chad Kelly

Kid is Jim Kelly's nephew, has been training all his life on motion and delivery from one of the best.
Tebow is an awesome guy and athlete, but he has a horrible throwing motion and shoots lame ducks more than any NFL qb i have ever seen.

I know he struggles in the NFL

I acknowledged that. But you don't throw for 9000 yards in the SEC if you "can't throw."
I'm not saying Chad can't throw. I'm just saying that Tebow, at the college level, could.

Kelly might have the look but its hard to compare when he hasn't played a down in college yet.

I expect him to eventually become the backup and battle Deshaun Watson in 2 years for the starting qb job.

Good to be able to run qb when you need to keep'em honest. But, if he is a true passing talent should not be necessary to over do it. I do miss Homer though...that was fun to watch!

Chad Kelly = Maryland's C.J. Brown with a much better arm.

Kelly's legs will get him playing time this year. He's going to be a good one.

You're not telling me anything that's not a daily talking point on ESPN.
Philip Rivers has one of the most awkward throwing motions in history, and owns plenty of ACC records for passing.
I was talking about Kelly's ability to contribute running the ball as a freshman.

We giving up on Cole already. Figured he would have a pretty strong grip on the #2 spot this year.

Chad is special and if Boyd gets hurt he will be our Qb this year. This guy is the real deal. We hit a homerun by getting him out of NY. I have seen a lot of film on this guy plus the coverage he got on ESPN. He is a baller that loves to compete. When he gets the O down it is going to be great to know if Boyd has an injury we have this kind of QB backing him up. Stout and Roberts are hopefuls. Chad is the real deal. Morris would not mention packages for him if he didn't believe this. Love our depth at the position...Go Tigers!
