247Sports just released their Top 25 QB's for 2024 season and Cade Klubnik is not on the list, but UGA's is rated #1.
Motivation??

glimpses of brilliance but a lot more moments of mediocrity. Hopefully, what we saw of him in the bowl game will be what we see more of moving forward. He can have an accurate arm but we have a lot of work to do in the passing game.

It's really not. I love Cade and think he is actually a real NFL talent that's been held back by poor offensive coaching (as long as Dabo let's Riley call the plays, should be better) and the worst P5 offensive line (which should hopefully be massively improved). But statistically, you'd be stupid to rank him as a top 25 QB.

So if you average all of his key statistics, he was the #76 rated QB in 2023. We have reasons to be hopeful for next season, but we're ultimately pinning our hopes on our freshmen receivers becoming major impact players and our offensive line going from bottom 10 to top 25 at a minimum. I don't think statistically, that supports a finding that he's going to improve from #79 to #25.

This ^^^. I still think Cade has potential but he has a long long way to go. Realistically the best hope is for our offense to go jump to 45 instead of thinking they’ll be a top 25 unit again. Cade, WR, and OL all have to make. Major improvements.

Why would he be top 25? He finished 69th in total qbr in 2023. That isn’t opinion, it’s statistical facts. Granted, it’s not all on Cade. The wide receivers rarely created separation. The offensive line rarely gave him time for a second progression. He has a chance to prove he’s an elite Qb this year with the new toys at wide receiver and an offensive line coach giving him time to go through his progressions

I agree. Cut out the dumb decisons, half the fumbles, and half the INT's and he's a Top 25 QB.

We also had a great running game that we used very judicially and that does not add t o the qbr...he does need some meat on his bones so that a dl picking his nose does not knock Cade down...TL was that way at first and he grew up!

I don't think anyone can seriously argue he belongs in the top 25 based upon last season's stats. Hopefully it serves as motivation to improve this year.

Cade can work himself out of that, but last year he looked overwhelmed, undersized, and not fast enough to rollout and escape pressure. He also tended to run 10-15 yds the wrong way trying to rollout of pressure.
A lot of what we were seeing was the byproduct of another underperforming offensive line, but Cade had a lot of work to do himself to break into the Top-25.
It looks like we have a decent QB. He’s not going to bend spoons like Deshaun or Trevor though, and his development has been stunted by OL play so poor, he’s had little opportunity to ever make it past his first read.

Just finished the article and not really impressed with many of the QBs on the list. Not seeing Cade on the list is not a surprise. I don't think he is that good. His lack of the fundamental concepts of QB play (recognition, decision making, arm strength) was very apparent last year. Don't get me wrong the poor OLine play and lack of a big play WR didn't help matters. He just seemed to continously play like a deer in the headlights and like he was in over his head. I feel confident with Coach Luke their will be improved OLine play and as far as WRs, I'll take a wait and see approach. A lot of questions will be answered on August 31st.

I think he’ll much improved this year. Partially, I think he’ll get much better WR play as well.
But so far from everything we’ve seen i can’t say he’s a top 25 Qb.
