To Syracuse? This just shows how much NIL is influencing college football athletes. There’s no other reason for a starting QB at Ohio state and the program they have to go to Syracuse and the program they have

Had a 1-million dollar NIL valuation. Wasn't getting a definitive answer from Day as to whether or not he would remain the starter, post Michigan loss.....if he lost his starting spot he figured he'd lose even more in NIL-money so yeah, seems you might be right-on.

They found collective money somewhere! It's pay for play now! The OSU QB is from PA which is'nt that far away. Schools are trying to get better faster like FSU did between 2020 and 2023. Clemson's approach is different and we have yet to see its gains.

Colorado did a whole sale roster change for an 4-8 season and FSU just lost at least 18 players to the portal. Either method takes time, but at least FSU did some decent recruiting too.
Long term, probably can use the portal to tweak a roster but not to replace recruiting.

And he single hardly blamed MCCord for all their failures, and I tend to agree. Cited the best defense since 2019 vs us, best WR corp ever and they didn’t dominate games. Oddly they also don’t want Bama to beat the brakes off Michigan, they want respect for the BIG.
