Anyone see what he had to say about leaving Clemson?

“I felt like politics played a part over at Clemson,” Bentley told BuffZone. “I felt like I was next in line, but still got to do the work. I knew my information and all the plays and stuff like that, but God gave me signs that I needed to transition, so that’s what it was.”

I think he has potential. I wish him the best. He probably wants to start. He sees like starter material to me, but not with what Clemson has.

Not going to start over Trotter and Carter. Also Woodaz was overtaking him. Now he would have definitely gotten snaps as a depth guy. As a team we needed him for depth. He wanted to start so he had to go somewhere where he could be that.

I believe Bentley is talented and will become a key leader at Colorado. The transfer also keeps his dreams of the NFL alive.

He’s really good against the run, but he needs to improve his pass coverage and not bite on play action so bad. If he can get that fixed he can be a really good LB, rooting for him.

Lavonta was great if you ran right at him. He's more of a Big 10 linebacker. Kind of a throwback linebacker.
Put him in space and ask him to defend space and it seemed he struggled.

That's not to say he could not have improved; because we all have thing to work on.

But, other players were better in space and got more time on the field. He didn't understand that the coach has to put the "TEAM" in the best position to be successful. Because he knew the playbook and had the desire; didn't mean he wasn't a liability in pass defense.

I wish him well. I will be checking him out this year.

Yea I don’t get that either … seems like the exact opposite of politics but maybe I misunderstood. I don’t understand why kids feel like they need to bash where they came from like just go where you are happy, wish him the best and will be pulling for him but like dj saying all that it’s just not a good look… transfer and be happy where you are and succeed nobody at Clemson caused these situations.

I think what he was trying to say was even though you think your time has come, you still have to work hard and prove it really is your time. Nothing is given to you.

But at a time when the voters elect senile, divisive and inarticulate politicians from both sides of the aisle for high office, it's expecting a lot for college football players to be well-spoken.

It is called competition and not politics —-he was just outrecruited at his position—

You have to earn it and continue to improve or you will be passed by a better player—-

He is where he needs to be—-good luck to him

When Bentley signed I said he would play early and be a beast. Obviously I was wrong. I think he is a little too short and a little slower than the guys starting. He is a liability in coverage. He was good between the tackles but slow side line to side line. Dabo and the coaches have proven time and time again the best player is going to play regardless of class. While Bentley was a depth piece he was never going to start over Trot and Agent Zero. At a lot of places Bentley is a starter just not at Clemson at this very moment.
