Everything starts on the D-line.

Look at SCAR. Not a great secondary, but they have a D-line that helps them out big time. If we get a nasty D-line, that'll free up the linebackers to do their thing, and it'll take the strain off our secondary. The zone will be much more effective. This could be a huge, huge class for us.

Our Dl last year was okay but certainly not great. Branch was a speed rusher all the way and if that wasn't working he didn't have a whole lot else in terms of getting to the QB. Moore had a mean streak but was under sized at the 3T and went long stretches where you didn't see him making plays. The best player on that line was B. Thompson and he couldn't do it all himself.

The last great DL I'd say we had was in 2009. Bowers, Sapp, Thompson, Jenkins, etc. There was NFL talent galore that year.
