before getting Jax State, Vanderbilt, and Kentucky at home in a row. They are decent, but let’s not give them too much credit.
That being said, if we lose to them the past three weeks will not have the same shine it does right now.
If we take care of the ball and don’t abandon the run we should take this one.

Everything still points to this game being lopsided in favor of Clemson. The recent win streak by SC, it being at home, and at night is what is making the media hype it up to something it won’t be.
This game should be something like another 30-0.

I’m glad it’s getting hype. Late night games gets all the sports bar viewships and we need to beat them chickens in public. Hiding away on FTC network at noon would have been awful!

this game will be closer than you think, i'd love to see clemson win 30-0 but with Legette and Rattler, i expect them playing at home will make this game very interesting, we cannot abandon the run if our run game is working, just pound the ball and control the clock, that crowd will be crazy pumped.that being said, Go tigers, as long as we win , i don't care by how much.

Our team needs to remain hungry. Play with an edge and intensity they haven’t played with all year. Protect the ball, keep Rattler rattled and in the pocket and we win.

True. But our tendency to use "cute" trick plays, turn the ball over in this game negates all of that. Sure, we're better on paper, no question about it. But some of the crap we saw last year needs to stop.

Not sure why anyone is concerned that we will abandon the run

Has that actually happened a single time this year? Did yall watch our "5 min drill" against NC State? 14 play 35 yard drive that featured 6 runs when we needed to go 92 yards in 4:30 to tie the game.
If we didn't abandon the run in THAT situation, I don't think yall need to worry about it happening tonight.

SCAR was playing a soft Cover 1/Cover 0 and we didn't run against them in the 2nd half. Craziest thing I think I've ever witnessed in 38 years of Clemson football.

And the BUM OC Streeter was fired after the season. And yes, he was a tomato can.

In the 2nd half we ran the ball on 1st down 7 out of 11 times. Those 7 1st down runs only gained 21 yards. One of the 4 1st down passes was with 2:58 to play from our own 23 down 1 so that one is clearly understandable.
We did throw more on 2nd down but we were behind the sticks almost every time. Our 2nd down yards to go in the 2nd half were 10, 7, 10, 10, 6, 5, 7, 8, 10.
Its difficult to call alot of runs on 2nd and 7+, though with the way DJ was playing maybe we should've done it more anyway.
I think the bottom line is that our offense just stunk in the 2nd half more than we abandoned a successful running game (it wasn't doing squat either).

Yeah, it has been nice to see our Tigers putting it together week to week. But if we don't finish strong it won't mean a thing. Gotta win these last two.
