How to get a face value ticket to 2014 BCS Nt'l Champ Game
Feb 8, 2013, 11:37 PM
|
|
So, if Clemson were to make it to the National Championship game next January, how would you get a ticket? Those tickets usually cost at least $2000 on the open market. Would you like to know how to reserve a ticket for $345?
http://bcschampionship.teamtix.com/content/home
If you're willing to "bet" that Clemson will be in the national championship next year, and pay a down-payment of $20 per ticket (max. 6 tickets), you can reserve a ticket for $325, if our Tigers actually make it.
The longer you wait to do this, the more the price will likely increase, especially if we beat the Dogs in our first game. I hope you can all make it out here for the game!
Go Tigers - National Champions 2014!!!

I have alot more faith in Clemson making it there than I do in that website still being there when its time to deliver the tickets.

That web site happens to be the Rose Bowl site. It's as legit as the Rose Bowl. They do this every year for the Rose Bowl game, and when they host the National Championship game, they also sell the tickets this way. They've been doing it for years.
It's legit.

Don't hold your breath,or sell the farm. Your second word was enough."IF" And that's a big "IF". Oh,have you told Nick Sabin that Clemson will be the 2014 National Champions.Let us know how he feels about it when you do.

If. There are too many things you cannot control such as injuries or close games that could go either way, but we are in a position to make a serious run at the NC IF the cards align. Alabama may have a strong history, but it is IF for them too, and I think it is about time they were dethroned. If anyone overlooks Clemson this year including the Almighty Bama, they better watch out.

This deal does not depend on us winning the MNC. The question is: If we MAKE IT to the MNC game in the Rose Bowl, would you like to be able to buy a ticket for $325 instead of $2000+?

You have to link your tix to a team. If your team doesn't make it to the NC you lose your spot in line to buy tix and you lose the payment that was holding your spots.

They should refund your money then.. Seems like extorsion to take cash deposit and then not honor it regardless of who your team is.

and that's $20 per ticket that you want to reserve. I've wasted money on worse things. $40 now seems like a small price to possibly be holding 2 tickets in 10 months to Clemson playing in the NC.

If you reserve 4 tickets, only use 2 of them, and sell the other two for $2000 apiece, you could finance the whole trip that way.
If we don't make it, you're out $80.
I was at the National Championship game in Miami in Jan. 1982. It's totally worth it to risk $80 to have a chance to make it to this game, IMHO.

I guess your tix would be in the 'Bama section that way. If Clemson made the game, you'd have to sit with Sabanites. Maybe you could trade with a 'Bama fan who got seats in the Clemson section, though.

Look at it this way
Feb 9, 2013, 11:19 AM
|
|
If somebody made this offer to you would you accept it: Give me $85 now. If Clemson makes it to the national championship I'll send you and a guest on an all expense paid 3 night trip to the Rose Bowl for the game, tickets to the game included. Airfare, hotel, rental car, all meals, tickets to all pregame festivities paid for. If, however, Clemson doesn't make it I keep your $85.
Would you?

Rose Bowl tix reservation interesting facts:
Feb 9, 2013, 2:10 PM
|
|
Thanks for finding this site. I have really enjoyed reading up about it. I found out a few interesting things:
1. The reservation price for "team tix" is not set, it floats based on demand. (For those who haven't looked at the site yet; you purchase "team tix" for your team. If your team is invited to the game, you may purchase tickets at face value: $325 each.. Current price of "team tix" for Clemson is $20.00 each. There are several teams less than 20.00.
2. So far 30 teams have had at least someone purchase team tix.
3. Biggest surprise reservation? Bowling Green! HAH!
4. Most expensive price? Alabama is going for $311.00 just to reserve the right to buy a ticket!! (Florida and Notre Dame are distant rivals at about 60.00).
5. There are only two ACC teams that have purchased "Team Tix" Guess who?? yep CU & FSU.. (Louisville fan did, but still not counting them or Notre Dame).
6. More than half of the SEC teams have purchased.. (Ole MIss fan did..)
What an amazing trip that would be to go out to the Rose Bowl BCS and win it the last year before the playoff. I am thinking about it. What the heck?

Remember though. If Clemson comes in ranked in the top 5 pre season that $20 is going up and then if we beat Georgia it will probably be close to $100.

But those end zone seats are only $325 a piece. I looked for MNC tickets on eBay this past Dec., and the cheapest nosebleed seats were over $1500.
As mentioned above, buy two extra ones, then sell those in Dec., and you can finance your trip with that - if we make it!

Price for these has been $40 for a long time. Just dropped down to $30 for some reason.
If you agree with the latest front page article on TNet - that this could be a special season, you probably won't see these tickets at a lower price, especially after we beat the Dawgs.
