That opinion was 20 years ago. A lot of maroons held similar opinions back then; some of them still post on this board. The public's view of homosexuals shifted drastically over that time, and many softened their stances. Even Pres. Bush was basically lying about his views on it; he was just placating the masses. Pub politicians took hardline positions to satisfy ignorant rednecks.

If he still believes it, that's a problem. But I have a hard time believing he is still locked into all his hardline positions from 20 years ago.
