The total value of the entire stock market is 46.46 trillion dollars.

The total value of all retirement accounts in USA is 40.80 trillion dollars.

Why then, is the market so volatile right now ?

Trump: growth and almost zero inflation

Biden: zero growth, highest inflation in country’s existence

So, not only do you have less money now than 3 years ago, your money buys much less. Good job morons.

You might want to check your "facts".

Peak inflation of 9.1% in June 2022 barely cracks the top 10 in US history. It's currently at 3.67%, and also currently better than essentially every other developed nation on the planet. Trump doesn't have a magic wand to make inflation disappear just by virtue of being Trump. A Democrat in office from '16-'20 would have have carded the same inflation numbers, and a Republican winning in 2020 would have experienced the same.

You're either a liar, or you're ignorant. Both are correctable, so get to work.

accurate or to be revised, and then make no mention of the compounded number over the last two and half years.

Any idiot that thinks 3-4% inflation is an accurate accounting of the current economy isn't really worth debating.

Agree. Its just amazing when they boast about current inflation while bringing home a $4 loaf of bread, etc. But what else do they have to hang their hats on? The entire experience under the current administration is a disaster.

Walk us through how inflation would be different under, say,

Not all money is in retirement accounts
Not all retirement money is in equities
The market is volatile because of earnings
