It’s a real shame what CFB had turned into, I remember the family loading up and going to the stadium pretty much every game as a kid. We werent a rich family barley above lower class but my father always made a way for us to go. Those memories will last forever but today the universities are pretty much pricing out those families on a budget ruining life long traditions that so many have become accustomed to in so the suits can socialize. With the continued professionalization of college sports they don’t even realize how close they are to losing the very thing that made college sports so special. Whenever you can go to an NFL playoff game cheaper then a CFB game something is broken. Anywho rant over going to be at the game even if we have to drop almost 2 grand that weekend but there will come a time that it just won’t make any sense.

for success. The last 10 years have seen prices increase dramatically to go along with the turnaround in our Clemson football teams success on the field.

That’s what they’ve always made sure to ingrain into everyone of us that’s for sure, and continuing that line of thought will always coincide with price rises

Love of Money is the root of all evil, First Timothy. I am certainly no biblical scholar but you can’t argue with fact,
Money has certainly found its way into AMATEUR sports .... and that is a bad thing,

Death Valley is not loud anymore. Death Valley is not full of alumn and locals anymore. Death Valley music is grade school now.
Take me back to Young Joc, Thunder and Lightning, tough Clemson. Fights in the stadium. etc. We are soft and NFL teams regard Clemson prospects as such. They even refer to our players as needing to be catered to.

I had season tickets in the lower deck then moved to Virginia for work. It no longer made sense. Now back to easy driving distance but cant justify the cost vs. watching from home. We still try to make a game in DV every year and an away game or ACCCG. Just wait until we join the SEC, the prices will go out of sight.

Clemson football certainly isn’t evil but it would be a lot BETTER if we get could seat another ten thousand at a reasonable price.

“Get in” price for FSU is less than $150 for FSU on TM and SH.
But I’m sure you want lower deck on the 50 for face value…

We did the same thing when we moved away many years ago. When we moved back close enough to go to games in 2014, my daughter was the mascot for the first 3 years so we got free parent tickets then we found someone on the TNet ticket page selling season tickets at a decent price (season ticket price plus seat equity). We have had these since 2017 and will get to keep buying them as long as we want. That is a much better deal than buying individual game tickets to the popular games.

Been trying to figure out how to get season tickets but everyone I talk to isn’t clear about it. Definitely would rather fork out that money then to spend that plus more on a couple of games a year.

Keep an eye on the TNet ticket page. I’ve seen tickets in C section for around $1200. That is pretty much seat equity plus ticket price. Last year a friend of mine found 2 tickets on the last upper row of section UD which are greats seats under the overhang for $950 each.

I am Clemson alum and member of IPTAY since graduation (1970). I am now retired and income is limited. When I started to look at the coming season and what it was going to cost me, it was very "eye opening" IPTAY was going to be $1000, football parking was going to be $800. Cost of tickets and tailgating was going to run total to well over $3000. Quite a chunk out of my budget! I love my tigers and have supported them for most of my lifetime...but the time has come for me and mine to enjoy the games on TV.

Parking spaces have become a major ,major problem for IPTAY. Believe me, it is discussed at length at every meeting. As the campus expands and new construction is completed, the situation only gets worse-.
I think that we will see in the future a system designed to transport fans to the stadium efficiently. There is NO way parking spaces within walking distance will be available. MANY were lost with this campus expansion presently underway.
The first time that went to a Clemson game at BC I was amazed at how efficiently the MTA was run. Regardless of poor ole Charlie the train got fans to and from the game with little or no delays. No way that the Tigers will ever have their own rail system but something akin to it could happen .... I think.
It’s a major, major problem and the university is aware of it and will find an answer. Just not today!

I understand all that, but it doesn’t explain why this guy thinks he has to pay $800 for parking…as of now, he definitely has a “free” space with his season tickets.
We have done a pretty good job with off site parking at SCM and NS but our fans generally reject those as being somehow inferior. Imagine if we were like BC, since you mentioned them, with VERY limited tailgating areas and everyone else has to take the train to the closest stop and walk. There would be a mass revolt.

And sleep in my truck til morning afterwards. There is no way I will pay the price for the tickets that are being asked nor the hotel room prices — even though I have the $$. It’s a principle thing at this point!

I graduated in 1979. I am taking myself and 5 family members to see Homecoming. It is my treat as all my children have spread throughout the country. Between the tickets, the outrageous hotel cost in Anderson and the air flights into Atlanta, I am spending 10 thousand dollars for a single afternoon's entertainment. I know I could ask all to pay their own way, but, I do not want to hear excuses as to why someone cannot come.

It is alumni and friends just like you that makes Clemson the great place that it is. I applaud you for your dedication and commitment to little ole Clemson.!
Making a sacrifice is difficult for all of us and to have the love and devotion to Clemson as you and many others have is why “We are number one”.

Prices for some games.
Imagine when we join the SEC and we have a 9 game conference schedule!
Those few out of conference games will even go up because there’s not many inexpensive conference games.

Everyone's got a different reason for watching from home

Mine was being fed-up with the atrocious post-game traffic cops, turning lot 4 into baseball/softball field and finally, dumping on the IPTAY members who pulled their donations during COVID when seats weren't available.
Oh well - I enjoy it from home for much less.

I guess we could do what that dump did in Knoxville....... convert an 80,000 seat stadium into a 100,000 seat facility by reducing the size of the seats. Of course you don't need that many for Vanderbilt and the rest of the SEC Least garbage teams you face.

The stadium hasn't gotten any bigger over the last 40 years, but the population certainly has. Clemson could continue to sell tickets cheap enough for anyone to be able to afford them, but then they'd just be resold for an easy profit.

They just aren't the schools that people want to watch. Maryland is practically giving season tickets away this year at $99 apiece.

You could gamble and wait until gameday if they lose to LSU the price might drop. There could possibly be some FSU fans that won't go because they're disappointed Yes it's ridiculous but it happens

I still love Clemson football and will support it however I can, but live attendance is not one of those ways at this time in my life, unfortunately. Between tickets, parking, tailgating, and in-stadium purchases - just not a practical thing anymore, sadly.

Yessir, and some seats were also reassigned to different seat equity groups giving them a double whammy. Our seats in section C were moved to a different level so the seat equity went from $350 to $700.

Same here. They reclassified the lower center upper deck seats to premium level. Funny, people don't recognize them as "premium" when I try to sell them.
