Saw it firsthand back in October when the Tigers came down to the beach to play Coastal Carolina in a double header scrimmage,both 7 inning games.The Football team had an open date that weekend of October 14th so it worked out great,only thing is is that the Chanticleers bats just exploded with lots of power off the Tigers pitching.I can't remember the final count but I know the Chants had atleast 10 homeruns combined in the 14 innings.The Tiger bats had a good day,not great but good.Pitching was not good though.They did rebound the next day though,on Sunday October 15th when they went to Greenville,NC and beat an always tough team in East Carolina.I sure hope that it is the case but maybe the pollsters know something we don't know when they rank the Tigers in the Top #10 in a couple of recent preseason polls.I sure hope so and that October 14th was just one of those rough days you get in Baseball from time to time.Pitching will be something we need to keep a close eye on when the season starts here in 2 weeks.
