Louisville's remaining ACC schedule

Sep 30, 2023, 11:11 PM

We need them to lose at least twice.

@Pitt
Duke
VT
Virginia
@Miami

Pretty lousy schedule

What would the tie breaker be?

Since there will be no head to head, winning percentage among common opponents.

Duke and Miami are the best chance

We need Duke to lose twice three times.

They avoid us, FSU and UNC***

With Leonard leaving the field on crutches, I’m guessing he won’t be playing against the Cards.

Duke has next week off, so if it's not as serious as it looked, he might be able to get back out there

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If there is no serious damage this may be a good scenario

Sep 30, 2023, 11:32 PM

For us. They don’t play UL until 4 weeks from now. Meanwhile they can lose to State and FSU without him and then beat UL or have developed a backup to get the job done by then. UL because of their weak schedule and is beating ourselves seem like the 2 biggest obstacles.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Not sure who his backup is but besides Miami

Sep 30, 2023, 11:19 PM [ in reply to Re: Louisville's remaining ACC schedule ]

Duke is still the best chance to give them a 2nd L. The others don’t seem to have a pulse at all.

Louisville is not good enough to get through that with less tan two losses. The only sure win is Uva.

UVA VT and Pitt are all basically at the same level***

Agree, the only 2 I see them possibly losing is Miami and Duke.

VT is a coin flip - slight edge to Louisville though. Pitt at least will play them at home - could help.

But yes that would be an easy slate if games for a good team which Louisville is not, I think.

This is why you have divisions

Sep 30, 2023, 11:22 PM

The Atlantic was stacked, I get it, but why would you implement this rule then let a team get by without playing any of the better programs in the league? Whoever made these conference schedules really dropped the ball.

How they miss fsu and Clemson after being in the same division yearly is beyond me, must’ve given someone at the acc a tug.
