I guess its possible. However, Texas is a pretty conceited bunch. I think they would have to swallow real hard to hire an assistant from little old Clemson. They're used to stealing away the cream of the head coaches. But, SOMEBODY is going to hire our OC eventually, and I'm sure that Dabo has a list of OC's ready to go after. And he will offer them top dollar to come to Clemson. I am not worried. This is what Dabo is good at.

Jeff Scott will be the man to replace CCM. I just hope we get a great QB coach.

He needs a defensive coach much more than an OC.

Between last year and the beginning of this season, that Texas D might be the worst tackling group I've seen.

the sports talking heads can't stop talking about how bad their defense is this year and how that is so unusual. Fans too!

Just my opinion, but I would bet they will only go after someone with previous HC experience. Hiring a guy who is just a few years removed from high school football, and who has no HC experience at this level would seem like a stretch for a prominent program like Texas. At least, I hope this is what they are thinking because I hope CM is around for a few more years before going on to be a great HC somewhere.

I'm not as worried about them coming after the OC for that reason - they would only want a current head coach. The biggest concern would be the ripple effect created when Texas and/or USC go after coaches such as Briles at Baylor.

Texas will likely throw the bank at Saban after Brown leaves. Not sure if they have any chance there.

With the animosity between Texas and TAM, I don't see Texas hiring a TAM alumnus(Morris). Texas could not swallow that much pride.
