but Dabo won’t let an injury cause you to lose your starting role. I agree with that. But it is clear to many tnetters that Mafah is the better back. If Dabo doesn’t play him a LOT more then we may have another love affair going on ala Dabo and DJ. And then the board will be going crazy again.

Mafah was great yesterday. He also had holes to run through unlike what we have had all year. I do think he earned more playing time

Mafah saw the light and ran towards the holes (e.g. cutting outside like he did on 40 something yd TD.)

Both Mafah and Shipley have done their respective parts fumbling the ball at critical moments of games.

In fact, at one moment, since the two of them are roommates, I’ve wondered if they had some sort of secret pact as to which one of them could end the season with the MOST game-ending fumbles.

I understand how it may seem one back is better than the other. We have 2 good backs, they both are deserving of the starting spot which they sre listed as costarters. They both have different skills that compliments the other. This game will surely earn Mafah more playing time but doesn't mean Ship is needed any less. Coaches saw they can really rely on Mafah and I believe we will see a more balanced distribution of plays between them except in short yardage situations. That should be all Mafah with his power running.

I hope you are right. Mafah is a more skilled runner. Shipley runs like girls gone wild. However I am afraid Dabo has a love affair with Shipley like he did with DJ. Time will tell. But if Mafah doesn’t play more we are going to have more of what we have had with WS.
