I just wanted to thank all of you for your ideas a while back on bringing a group of 11 of my Marines to Clemson, SC.
It will be a go!
We'll be coming down the evening of Thursday, 9 October and returning to Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, NC on Sunday, 12 October. We're staying at a friend's lakehouse on Hartwell! The goal was to keep things cheap and it looks like the only thing they'll be paying for are 5 meals and splitting gas between 3 vehicles! They are all very excited and I can't wait to share what Clemson has to offer with them.
Here's the schedule: ------------------------------------------ THURSDAY Dinner at Wingin' It
FRIDAY Presentation by Daniel Rodriguez and other Clemson players. Presentation by Colonel Sandy Edge (representing the Clemson Corps) at the Memorial Park/Scroll of Honor (history of Clemson, Clemson's military heritage, LtCol Jimmie Dyess, and the Memorial Park). Lunch at The Esso Presentation by the Clemson Registrar's Office (Veterans liaison and certifier for the GI Bill -- scholarships available, grants available, and what their GI Bill covers and how to use it).
