Randomly reading an article about a player leaving his team to prep for the draft, I was reminded why we are 1) so lucky to have dabo and the rest of the staff and 2) unlucky to have a certain organization empowering multimillionaire coaches to look after young kids in the most hypocritical way possible. This is the excerpt that got me:
"Quitting on your teammates is hard to take as a coach," Oklahoma defensive coordinator Mike Stoops told reporters after Tuesday's practice.
Charles Walker had a concussion last year and missed time. He gets a concussion this year and misses time. After being sidelined with his second (reported) concussion in two years, this kid who is helping a crooked organization and 50 year old men make millions decides that it is more important to protect his health and prepare for his career instead of threaten his career for no reason making no money playing college football.
The criticism coming from a college coach is borderline hilarious. These are the men that leave at the drop of a hat for a better opportunity at another school not caring the impact it has on the kids they recruit.
