They are calling it the "Clark Effect". She definitely raised the sport interest. It was the first women's basketball games I have watched from start to finish.

Not sure about the poster but you're wrong about the numbers. Sure, a lot wanted to see Clark, but over the last decade women's bball viewership has been growing fairly quickly, while overall men's bball numbers have remained steady or declined.

Yes, you are correct. It was also the largest event streaming. To put this into perspective, 7 million watched our bball game against Alabama.
I'd say if Neff was smart, he'd take away any extra money except football and put towards baseball and all the women's sports. Women sports are the fastest growing viewership among the younger generation.
Sorry jk, but we did beat uconn/Illinois. That only drew 6.5.

I have no idea how many sports channels there are, but going with a random number, at any given time men's sports would likely be on 99 of 100 channels so those viewer stats are spread out. The solo channel carrying a women's game could very well have a higher number of viewers than any one of the men's events.
