If he's ignoring the last playcall, he's ignoring others. Possibly some that similarly ended in disaster.
Been trying to tell y'all that this guy is simply an uncoachable headcase.

That'd definitely be troubling because just like so many areas on this team, QB isn't really a place we have quality depth.

Quality depth at the qb position is one of the most overrated things in the game...you simply just need one really good one...thats it...a lot like kicker

Just said this on the interview video. Cade was clearly avoiding the REAL reason he called his own number. Saying “I did it because my OL is dog crap” probably wouldn’t go well in the locker room.

First time I internally questioned Cade was when he said they were going 14-1 after the Duke loss. Can you imagine DW4 or TLAW saying that?

Agreed. I believe he said that in an attempt to be the leader but his immaturity overtook reason and produced an opposite result. He meant well, but the path to hell is paved with good intentions.

I don't think the problem is that he is uncoachable; I think the problem is that he is being overcoached. Too many coaches in his ear and too much confusion in his mind while under pressure. Similar to another QB we used to have here, with the common denominator being our coaching.

They come here talented and better players than they leave. We went from coaching up inferior talent to coaching down 5*’s. Anyone blaming these players is an idiot!

that is an interesting take, it makes me think about the ignored high five by dabo then the stare down. Cade looks like a choir boy and seems respectful when i've see him speak in interviews.
But remember this actions speak louder than words, you have to admit there is a little bit of smoke now, its not just one thing, we have the ignored high five weeks ago now we have an ignored play call in overtime. He also talked a bit crazy imo even before the season started with the 15-0 talk then when losing duke he simply changed it to 14-1.

Sometimes the voice of reason is silenced in crowd. Cade isn’t the problem. But if he is, he has been mismanaged since he got here. He should have started the Notre Dame last year and every game following it. I remember Dabos comments following the UNC game saying something like “we tried to give him a chance at ND but it didn’t work out”. If I remember correctly you put him in a winless scenario down 14-0 inside your own 5, with the expectation that he would go out there and win the game. No wonder he threw that terrible INT. Those comments by Dabo have always bothered me.

He will start every game this year if healthy and will be the starter to start the season next year as well.
