It could theoretically affect playoff selection, but the rankings are usually hogwash. Remember if they were any good at ranking teams, they would be billionaires in Vegas, not starving sports writers.

Very disappointed in Clemson football right now as I expected a better effort.

Yay! Ranking don't matter none. Clemson can't fool no on no more. They stunk up the field yet again, giving up big pts as they ride the clock.
