Continues to do an outstanding job. He is clearly one of the best secondary coaches in the business. I hope he stays at Clemson for a long time.
The secondary was without some talent yesterday but did a great job covering!

Props to tropical. Good one. But for the life of me, I can't understand why you all are so against the portal. You treat it like it's taboo.
You DO understand the portal kids are also high school kids. They're one in the same. Ghesh.

My opinion and i know it counts for nothing and may be harsh but I want guys to play for Clemson Football or basketball or any other sport for their entire collegiate career. I want those kids that are all in and if you have transferred once you may transfer again. If the transfer player is a truly great player and person why did they leave their school that they loved enough to commit to? I believe we will slowly start using portal guys but I won’t like it. For me the portal is free agency and I don’t want it.

Mikey and Tropical, I agree 100 %. It is not I am against us using the portal. I am against the portal the way it is configured now, especially how it is being used and abused …….. UNC player who I think had a legitimate case and denied half a year, where other schools have guys that have transferred 3 times and are practically old enough to be a grandparent. I still think it is a good idea for only transferring one time or sitting out a year.
The other issue is that we have outstanding players here and I’m not sure how many players want to transfer here and possibly sit on the bench. I don’t think Dabo would guarantee and player playing time and he is not going to know how they stack up until they get here and practice. Frankly, I am more interested in players coming here because they want to be a part of the Clemson University community than coming here for @ championship or to further their athletic career. But that’s just me and I understand the other argument.
PS ……. love CGA and her posts and know that she lives and dies Clemson ……. As do I!

That's right......and don't forget he's Dabo best friend. (Wonder why he got hired and given opportunity to Co-DC ahead of Reed? So what Reed played in the NFL, also played for Super Bowl winning coach Tom Couglin, was on Andy Reid's staff with Philly, matter of fact same day Dabo hired him Andy Reid offered him a job with KC Chiefs. Additionally while at Clemson Mike Reed has continously recruited talent and developed NFL CBs. Very interesting!! But I guess I'm just not a fan of the " Friends and Family Plan ". )

That has killed us on 3rd down before. It seemed like the secondary was always in the right place yesterday. Their RB was wide open a few times- but that’s another issue.

Yeah they were. Hartman seems kinda lost without Evans and Greathouse. Solid D but our special teams play was a difference maker.

Hartman was sort of dealing with the same dilemma that Cade has suffered with ……. not a bunch of open receivers …. because we know that he can deliver the ball. Receivers, as we know, that can’t separate make it tough on the qb. How many times yesterday did Cade throw to a receiver that was covered ……… a bunch.

Reed has been a great DB coach. You see all our DBs improve from when they come to Clemson and when they leave. I don't see that much at any other position. I would pay Reed DC type money to make it hard for him to leave. I think he might be out best coach

We may have one of the top 5 secondaries in the nation now
I’m not a sunshine pumper, but the way a few people on here dog this defense really gets me going. This defensive squad is playing some great football this year. Perfect? No! But really freaking good!
