As Tony Crumpton of TNet wrote so well about about 6 years ago..Dwight was buried on SF 49’ers team owner Eddie DeBartolo’s Montana ranch named Candy Bar Ranch to tie it in with the famous Clark candy bar..

with the original Candlestick Park goalpost placed approximately the same number of feet away from Dwight’s nearby gravesite as was the location of “The Catch”.

On the simple gravesite covered in live blooming flowers is the inscription: “The dynasty began with You”.

Since Dwight had a favorite charity, The Golden Heart Fund”, the team & management meet each year to honor Dwight and raise funds for it.

As such Dwight is affectionately called “The Glue Guy” since he & his memory have kept the old & new team members together since they all show up.

R.I.P. #30 TiGER!

I like the story Joe Montana told when he said that Dwight would remind him that they, "don't call it the throw."

And, Joe kidded that it took Dwight forever to get at right
