Moving On Monday

Nov 28, 2022, 10:15 AM

Really my first post on TN in quite some while. I have watched CU games for a number of years. After this weekend, I feel like I needed to get this off my chest.

DJ is not entirely the problem, yes. But, as the QB he shoulders a lot of blame for this weekend and this season. Certainly, the WR's are equally to blame and the recent rash of turnovers doesn't help.

Streeter should definitely carry some of the blame as well for both this weekend and the season. But, how much is he holding back due to the talent level that exist on this team? (he can call any play from the playbook, but is he hesitant due to the play being executed correctly?) Still question if he is the best person for the job. Perhaps new blood is needed.

Finally, as much as Dabo has brought to this university and team, I will continue to support him and his decisions for now. However, with that said, comes this warning: Losing games to in state rivals (and especially losing them in the way that it happened) is a recipe for decline for both coach and team.
Making choices have consequences. If Dabo sees a problem at QB and doesn't correct it, if Dabo has a subpar OC not performing up to standards and doesn't correct it, if CU has a recruiting problem and doesn't correct it, the buck stops with the HC.

If the HC can see these problems and does not fix them, that's a issue. If the HC does not see the problems, then perhaps that is a bigger issue. AND THIS COULD BE A RECIPE FOR TERMINATION (emphasis on COULD BE - seen it happen before).

I truly hope that Dabo can fix the problems, because I believe he is still a good coach.
OK. I'm done and got that off my chest! Moving on Monday.

Always still a Clemson fan.

PS (Love Tigernet and reading all your posts)

Please stop asking if Streeter is holding back.

There was nothing to hold back from running it 40 times out of the two back set when up 14 points.

He's an absolute moron.

For what it's worth, I agree with you. If Streeter is holding back due to talent on the roster, it's an issue. If he is not, and these are truly his play calls, then that is an even bigger issue.
