My game day experience Saturday

Oct 23, 2022, 6:04 PM

99 graduate bringing 2 teenagers to the game Saturday. My honest thoughts on the weekend experience.

No fireworks after Tigerama on Friday night. I always enjoyed that as a kid, teenager, and adult. None this year.

We left from Seneca at 9am to get to our parking spot near the womens softball field and finally got there about 11:15. Not what I was expecting.

Fat lady next to me was taking half my seat and screaming constantly. 2 Yankees behind us were giving a loud and and unwanted play by play along with uneducated thoughts on what Clemson “should” be doing. Some negative Dabo yells too.

The huge new video game board did not show replays 99% of the time. Disappointing. No real time scores of other games in real time 99% of the time.

‘99 grad and I left very disappointed Saturday after spending a good sum on tickets and parking. I’ll watch from home going forward. I know that is an unpopular opinion, but it’s honest by a Tiger Grad and fan.

1. Fireworks, you’re right, that sucks.
2. Sold out game, you left too late.
3. Fat lady - first time she stood, you should have claimed your spot. If you’re too passive, learn to sit sideways on one cheek or go to the concourse and get a seat back.
4. Constant screaming, and stupid people talking out loud. Welcome to todays America.
5.only showing replay 1% of the time. Game had had about 150 plays from scrimmage. By your math, only 1.5 replays; wrong. I remember scores of other games during every tv timeout; again, wrong.

Was a beautiful fall day, perfect weather, a good game, and oh yeah, we won. Lighten up, Francis. Life’s too short to be miserable.

There were fireworks. Lots of them. Very sparkly and loud. Left a really cool looking cloud behind too. Methinks the OP is making stuff up…

don't appreciate good stuff because they want everything to be the way they and only they think is perfect. Scores of other games were constantly shown on the facade of the stadium along the upper deck... not too difficult to find. Seems like watching at home is better for those who don't enjoy being around people.

I agree with the OP about no fireworks at tigerama. That was a highlight after tigerama when I went as a kid. That is weak on Clemson’s part.
The traffic is ALWAYS hideous at noon games unless you get there by 8am or even earlier. That’s why I don’t like noon games.
We always get seat backs every year so no one is in our seats. I would do just as the earlier poster said. I would slide over when the heifer stood up IF she ever stood up.
Lastly, the big mouths are annoying AF. We have a new one beside us that just moved next to us in the last several years. She starts out by singing soprano solos on the national anthem and the alma mater and proceeds to talk and give commentary during the rest of the game.

They had fireworks.

True, there were not a lot of other scores on the video board. I figured that was because we played at noon and most of the other games of interest began at 3:30 or 7:30. I had no idea we were supposed to consider that a problem.
