I mean We weren’t supposed to miss a beat from last year coming into 2021, and this is the product we get ?
I don’t get it either.
So much talent , just not Utilized in the proper ways or something.
What gives??

I, for one, am glad we aren’t playing his coots any time soon! You can see what’s coming don’t you? The Tigers have a long way to go. We are within one play of having three loses already. We also are one play from having only one loss. The State game was such a big game that we let get away.

Did anyone see 6 ACC Championships in row coming, did anyone see 6 playoffs in a row, did anyone see two National Championships? I didn't but sure is nice. Can anyone see what will happen the rest of the season? If you can let me know, I need to put some money in my pocket.

Results determine talent, not polls or magazines. We started the year with an inexperienced, young QB and an unproven OL. No surprise we lost to Georgia but we should have won at State.

Glad we didn’t replace an idiot coach with daddy’s kid who can’t coach either and have a President who says his biggest mistake was ever going to South Carolina. That was fun.

Or the injuries.
My Buddy however, said right before the GA game, “I don’t think much of him (Big Cinco) pro football style QB, can’t move in the pocket! Can’t really run. I’m just not sold! Trevor Lawrence was a Warrior! Taj Boyd and DW4 were the same. Even Bryant could run the offense pretty well and was dangerous on the run. Too quiet of a demeanor with a young offensive line.”
He called it

a Tommy Bowden era team, but this team does remind me a little, results wise, of the 2008 team. We were VERY highly ranked coming into the start of the season, but with a whole lot of young, unproven players on the roster. I remember wondering just what the lofty ranking was based on.
We all know what happened once the season actually started. The complete debacle against Bama to open the season in our own personal House of Horrors, The Georgia Dome. Then later, the two "just a play away" losses to Maryland and Weak Florist back to back. The Weak Florist loss finally inspired myself and about 10,000 others to pen letters to the Clemson President begging for the ouster of Tommy Bowden. I had no replacement in mind, I just knew that the longer the farce was allowed to continue, the more permanent the damage might become.
None of us had any idea that young, totally inexperienced interim coach Dabo Swinney would turn out to be the answer we had been most desperately seeking since 1990. But he was, and is. Remember where we were back then, and consider all that has gone on since then. In his own time, and in his own way, Dabo will figure out his answers to the current problems. He for sure has earned the right to do it as he sees fit.

the defense would be nasty, DJ was the next DW/TL, and we had a stable full of good RBs & WRs. And our coaching staff was intact. The only question mark was maybe the OL, as always. All of the experts saw it the same way, that's why we were ranked #2 in the nation preseason.
As they say: if everybody who later claimed to be at Woodstock had actually attended, the earth would have tilted on it's axis from the weight shift.

No one could have foreseen this season because all through Spring and Fall camp Dabo raved about the team.
