Nothing is more important to him than Culture.
(If he can’t trust a kid in his home then he is apprehensive of him on his team. A kid like 16 year old TH5 fits. The stud he shares the opposite side of the field with today, although 2XProBowl selectee, would never have been granted an invite. He, not his staff, are equipped to mentor/handle kids of other type.)
He created his Culture first on paper and then built it in TigerTown. (This makes him smarter than most and the doubt after the ‘10 that grew to confidence after ‘13 has blossomed into conceit post 18)
He sees himself as a kid from Pelham Alabama dealt a bad hand. (This is played from a piano where he gracefully changes pitch and tone to gain the trust of recruits or endear him to their guardians)
He believes that his faith and God’s mercy granted him an opportunity that he was prepared for. (I am in agreement with him. I do believe that he uses this to amend for his mistakes rather than make necessary changes or to accept the counsel of those he deems lesser, encompassing everyone not in his immediate circle)
I do believe We Can Win with this recipe but must acknowledge that it is a gamble where the odds grow tougher as the landscape changes. We have to hit at QB Every Year and avoid key injuries to start. We don’t have to worry about who’s getting arrested or future sanctions/violations.
For ~1 million dollars a month, the best job in college sports, a legacy cemented, a clean conscience and soft pillow at night, and a 5-10 year cushion before worrying about a losing season, would you change?

Very well said CU. Dabo is way more than a coach and our recruits and their families realize that and players want to play for him. Dabo is also very smart and if for some reason, several of our players go in The Portal and we do not have the talent we need, Dabo will attempt to use The Portal just like other coaches do.

Dabo should then consider spending most of his time calling the plays in P.A.W. Journey and recruiting.... and not the game. Then hire truly experienced Coordinators and let them run the game plan and game day. His right to develop young men only exists because of winning. He needs to hire killer coaches and recruit killer players to play...and not former player/coaches or coaches kids and walk-ons...he needs to recruit really bad boy football players and really experienced coaches...and when these alphas mess up, simply kick em off the team...and go get some more thru the portal....if you really want to develop players, recruit the killers and develop them, not recruit guys who's mom's and dad's have already done the job and then you take credit for turning them into men. A good man is truly probably developed before he get's to college...so Dabo if you really want to develop, then develop the ones who need it most...

You missed the whole point. Your "wisdom" is counter to eveything stated above.
There is a coach that follows your dogma. Saban has been that way for years. Spits out coaches faster than $2 ##### spits out tricks on a Saturday night. Players in trouble for lack of judgement. Even saban has a time stamp, though. Even he fails eventually, as he is doing now

If he can consistently make the playoffs through exclusively recruiting HS kids, then they should double his salary. He appears to be one of the few college coaches in America that believes that.
He is great at beating the odds and proving others wrong, and I hope he does it again (repeatedly).
