My view on noble/newspring

I knew Perry Noble before he was the Anderson Idol that he is now. I have no problems with Newspring, in fact I'm very impressed with how the church has developed and the amount of people they have reached. I remember attending when there were less than 20 people in attendance. They have no doubt reached many people who would have never heard of Christ. Kudos for that.
My issue is with Perry.
I remember thinking when I was just a teenager in his youth group at North Anderson Baptist that this guy is a little radical. I remember talking with my older brother about how I thought he shouldn't be in a position of power over young people. He was simply too persuasive, very overbearing. He was borderline weird. If you had a relationship with another girl in the youth group prepare to have a meeting with him to discuss what proper relationships were. Very strange.
Regardless, the man has built his empire, and his intentions can be torn apart by you all, i won't discuss that.
What I will discuss though is the simple fact that Newspringers hide behind the "we are about numbers, every number is a soul" type deal. Knowing Perry personally, this is true. Perry only cares about numbers, and how many he brings to Christ. What needs to be looked at is not how many he brings to Christ but how many he keeps there. He is very good at creating the scene, playing the music, laying the good ol' word and asking you to say the prayer. However once you accept the word how much does Perry care?
Now since he has this megachurch he can hide from that fact because how can you be personable when you have thousands of members, right? but the fact remains, Perry is about numbers. Once you get "saved", or once you get Baptized, you are done in his eyes. He is on to the next one. There is no effort towards keeping members, just building the church.
Just my opinions, sorry

were already attending his church. I don't believe it's a Dabo/Clemson thing as much as a choice of the players.

I've worked with three of his followers

And I do mean Nobles followers - they talk about him first what he wants what he said. It's only way into any conversation do you hear about Jesus Christ. I have to wonder, never having met the man if he is bringing souls to Christ or people to Perry Noble.
I also said have worked because all three of them have been fired for what you could call "un Christian" behavior - they talked the talk very loudly but snuck around and didn't come close to walking the walk.
One would lie to clients another falsified financial records and the third stalked and harassed two female employees all while he was talking about how Newspring saved his marriage and made him a much better husband.
Our little church has 340 members, the preaching is kind of boring, the music is old fashioned, the little 85 year old sanctuary is sort of run down, but we all know each other by face if not name and our pastor is just that a pastor who cares and shepards us toward Christ not a rock and roll preacher who is all about the show.
I will now stop judging and ask for forgiveness and get ready to head to Death Valley for my other old time religion!

My concern is that the job definition of a chaplain and that

of a pastor are different.
Chaplain's generally have education in counseling and are generally knowledgeable in the beliefs of different religions, denominations, and theologies. The intent is that they can provide spiritual support to a diverse group of people. Pastor's minister mostly to a specific religion, denomination, or theology.
My understanding is that Perry has not attended seminary of any type (I may be wrong) and what training he has as a counselor is limited. Can he provide professional counseling or spiritual guidance to those with different beliefs? Since he created his own church is their an accountability professionally or can he just do and advise based upon what he believes?
What guidance would he give to a Unitarian, Catholic, Muslim, Jew, Jehovah's Witness, Mormon, or any Christian denomination? Would he just tell them that their beliefs are wrong and that they need to convert to his church? That to me, is troubling.
