that you can still win with old school basketball by going inside when you have a big man that knows how to use his body and get position. It ends up being more predictable than shooting three pointers and also forces the other team into foul trouble trying to stop an inside game.

Yeah. The tournaments all about which team makes the 3s. I would like to see us get another sharp shooter for next year to with the Air Force kid.

The difference was the "big man " our big man s ores 15. Their "big man" is getting 30-40 points. Tigers had a great season, but this gushing over Hall is over the top. He is good and that is about it.

You don’t trade anything if you play defense. It was very disappointing that BB didn’t switch defenses in the second half. I think we played zone on one possession in the second half. The match up zone had been very effective in the last several games. When they get into a rhythm making the 3’s you don’t just keep doing the same thing over and over. The losses during the middle part of the season were all due to two things….not switching defenses and PJ jacking up threes and not staying down low to work inside and help in rebounding.

They couldn’t “switch.” Heck, like Coach said, there were many times that they were launching threes before the defense couldn’t even get set. You can’t coach “speed,” and even Coach Brownell had said his team wasn’t the fastest and that was a concern against Alabama. Coach Brownell did a masterful job this year, and the entire team is legendary for Clemson basketball. I sincerely hope that any Clemson fans, within ear shot of Coach or those players, will hear lots of appreciation. But, that’s just me. Go Tigers!

If you can play really good defense against 3 point shooters, you can beat any team with the inside game, but you sure better stop most of the 3 point shots bc 3 point shooting has turned basketball into a shoot out game, and that is the part of basketball that I hate!!!
