The NET is similar to preseason football rankings. I have been watching the site below since week one. Almost all of our opponents net rankings have decreased since week one. The exception was Alabama. But Alabama lost 2 out of their last three now, both against unranked teams.
The RPI has seemed to be the most consistent but undervalued our opponents moreso from the beginning.
NET is a compilation of 5 or 6 different sources but includes strength of record, while RPI considers their own SOS and OOC SOS.
Alabama is the only team we have played currently with 2 losses or fewer. UAB and Boise St, who were strong Q2 or weak Q1 opponents now have 3 losses.
If Brownell were answering this thread, both algorithms are full of ####. I would tend to agree based on the fluctuation and decreased value after beating a ranked team on the road being an 8.5 pt underdog. It won't matter in the end. Whether we are a 16 seed or 1 seed, this team has all the tools and talent to rip a hole in both rankings.
